Verizon Launches 5G Home Internet Service In Four Cities (page 2)

Verizon confirmed in November last year that it would launch its commercial 5G service before the end of 2018 and the country’s largest mobile carrier is now following through on that promise. It opened pre-orders for residents last month who wanted to sign up for service and as promised, Verizon has launched its commercial 5G home service in four cities across the United States today. Installations are starting today for residents in Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, and Sacramento. These are the four cities where the company is launching its commercial 5G home service first. The service promises peak speeds of up to 1 Gbps.Verizon is offering customers three months of its 5G Home service for free. It will then cost existing customers $50 monthly after that. Non-Verizon customers will have to pay $70. It’s also offering customers a free Chromecast or Apple TV $K and a three-month subscription to YouTube TV.The installation is included in this charge and it also promises first access to 5G mob
