Tesla lowers Model X base price due to improved margins

Tesla recently released its much-awaited mass-market electric car, the Model 3. This the first car from the company that the average customer can actually buy given that prices for the Model 3 start at $35,000. The company previously confirmed that it has another crossover in the pipeline called the Model Y. Tesla has now said that it’s working hard to launch the Model Y earlier than previously planned. The Model Y electric crossover is going to be similar to the Model X crossover in the sense that it’s going to have similarities with the Model 3 just like the Model X has similarities with the Model S.Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk has said that the Model Y will be built on a similar architecture as the Model 3. This will enable the company to bring the crossover to market sooner since the crossover will share many of its components with the Model 3.This marks a reversal from the company’s previous promise.
