For a while now Facebook has supported the uploading of 360-degree photos and videos, where if viewed with a VR headset can create a VR experience. Now it looks like Facebook is setting its sights on a different kind of photo, this time 3D photos as the company has announced that they are rolling out support for it.So what are 3D photos? Basically with a lot of smartphones these days allowing users to recreate depth-of-field effects convincingly well, 3D photos is essentially an extension of that. According to Facebook, “Whether it’s a shot of your pet, your friends, or a beautiful spot from your latest vacation, you just take a photo in Portrait mode using your compatible dual-lens smartphone, then share as a 3D photo on Facebook where you can scroll, pan and tilt to see the photo in realistic 3D—like you’re looking through a window.”Like we said a lot of smartphone makers are offering that feature to users, but according to Facebook, it seems that only Portrait-style photos taken by the iPhone 7+, 8+, X or
