Sony makes it easier to use Google Assistant on existing headphones

It was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 in January that the Google Assistant support will soon be landing on a wide variety of devices. It has since made its way to many devices but Sony’s headphones had yet to receive support and that has finally happened today. Select Sony headphones now have support for the Google Assistant. Sony did launch new products such as headphones and headsets at CES 2018 that came with Assistant and the company also promised that it would release an update which would bring Google Assistant support to some of its existing models as well.The company has now rolled out firmware update version 2.0.2 for its WH-1000XM2 over-ear headphones and WI-1000X in-ear neckband earphones. Both products are now optimized for Google Assistant which means that they have proper integration with the AI assistant.Users can already trigger assistant on most compatible headphones by tapping and holding on the call button but proper integration brings a variety of features such as
