Samsung's new Galaxy Watch looks to make up ground against the Apple Watch

In addition to unveiling the Galaxy Note 9 today, Samsung has also introduced its rumored Galaxy Watch smartwatch. Even though the device comes with the “Galaxy” branding that Samsung has largely used for Android devices, it doesn’t run Wear OS (Android Wear). It’s the successor to the Gear S3 so it runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS. The wireless charging-compatible 3G/LTE Galaxy Watch will be available in 46mm and 42mm sizes with 1.3 inch and 1.2 inch circular displays. It’s powered by an Exynos 9110 dualcore processor with 768GB RAM and 4GB of storage.The LTE variant, which will be available later this year, features 1.5GB of RAM. The 46mm and 42mm models feature a 472mAh and 270mAh battery respectively.
