Verizon Is Reportedly Testing A Game Streaming Service

However could one of the potential uses of 5G be for game streaming? While we can’t say for sure, it seems that Verizon could be exploring the idea.According to a report from The Verge, it seems that the carrier is testing out its own game streaming platform dubbed “Verizon Gaming” which apparently is working on the NVIDIA SHIELD set-top box, with plans to eventually expand to smartphones. The carrier has yet to officially announce anything or acknowledge the existence of the service, but the report claims that Verizon has been quietly recruiting players to take part in the tests.Based on the screenshots obtained by The Verge, it seems that there will be quite a number of games that will be available to gamers to choose from.
